    Job Description:

    We are looking for a creative, innovative, visionary, and highly organized Program Director to:

    • Through programming, help position Sagamore as: 
      • A premier destination for both individuals and groups
      • A crucial partner in the region
    • Maintain and execute current programming 
    • Explore and implement new programming experiences and models
    • Build new partnerships while maintaining relationships with existing programming partners 
    • Work closely with Sagamore’s Marketing Project Manager to promote Sagamore’s programming
    • Work closely with Sagamore’s Operations & Event Director to recruit businesses and organizations to host their conferences, retreats, and events at Sagamore
    The Program Director is also responsible for the overall administration of Sagamore’s programs.

    Administration includes:

    • Scheduling programs and contracting with outside instructors and with programming partners
    • Coordination of programs’ logistics and daily schedules in cooperation with the Operations, History, Facilities, and Dining departments
    • Budgeting
    • Analysis and assessment of programs
    • Hiring, training, and supervising 3 seasonal staff members

    This position requires residency at or near Great Camp Sagamore during the season. Lodging provided is  basic but private and comfortable. Meals take place in a common dining hall shared by guests. From November - April, year-round staff work from home. This person must be available to oversee in-person  the winter programming days, and preference may be given to an individual who lives in close enough proximity to Sagamore to visit camp more frequently during the off-season.

    Specific Preferred Skills and Experiences:
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, plus a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in program  development, implementation, and administration, some of which must have been done at a  publicly facing organization. 
    • We will consider applicants with all types of programming  background, but an appreciation for the wilderness is essential.
    • People management and supervision experience are required
    • Past customer service experience is required
    • Creative and innovative
    • Excellent communication, writing, presentation, and project management skills
    • Strong computer and online skills: MS Office; Google Drive; internet savvy
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

    This Position is: Hybrid

    Position Type: Full-Time

    Salary range: $58,448
