Virtual Tour: Erie Canal's Locks and Infrastructure

Experience a behind the scenes virtual tour of two historic “powerhouses” located on NY’s historic Champlain Canal. NYS Canal Corporation introduces the one-of-a-kind generator facility at Lock C2 and Albany Engineering’s Jim Besha takes us inside the oldest continuously operating hydroelectric power plant in the country. Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor's historian, Duncan Hay provides background and perspective on the facilities and power generation at the turn of the century. 


Virtual Program

Registrants will receive the Zoom link via email the day before or by 11:30 AM for same-day registrations. Registration will close at 11:20 AM
