    Genesee Country Village & Museum seeks a professional with experience in corporate and individual fundraising, donor stewardship, and events to manage our individual and corporate membership programs, major gifts program, and annual fundraising celebration.

     Job Summary:

    The Director of Membership and Sponsorship is responsible for driving membership revenue from individuals at levels ranging from $75 to $10,000 annually and also pursuing unrestricted and restricted corporate membership and sponsorship. The Director also has significant responsibility for the Museum’s annual fundraising dinner and will have a portfolio of individual gift prospects who they will work with. This position has supervisory responsibility for the Development Associate, who manages all gift entry and day-to-day membership activities.

     The successful candidate will be highly motivated and will think creatively about how to best attract corporations to the work of GCV&M. This position reports to the President & CEO and the Director must form excellent working relationships with donors, staff, and volunteers across the Museum. This is a small development shop, so the successful candidate will be a person who will work collaboratively on a variety of projects.
