    Organization Description: Stepping Stones is a privately-run, nonprofit, tax-exempt National Historic Landmark located an hour north of Manhattan in northern Westchester County, NY, is the historic home and archives of Bill Wilson, cofounder of Alcoholics Anonymous, and Lois Wilson, cofounder of Al-Anon Family Groups. The Stepping Stones Foundation fosters public understanding of alcoholism and inspires recovery by preserving and sharing 8.17 acres of gardens and grounds, six structures, 10,000 objects and 100,000 documents and offers tours, researcher access, online and off-site programs.

    Position Description: Utilizing professional preservation standards and experience, manager will (1) oversee the care, storage, and preservation of a manuscript archive (approximately 100,000 documents) and historic object collection (approximately 10,000 items), including serving as a liaison to consulting conservators, (2) manage building and grounds projects related to the care and protection of collections, (3) manage an online archive and its volunteers, (4) lead the research, writing and creation of reports, presentations and articles, (5) be primary contact for researchers and related agreements, (6) be a cross-trained team member of the historic landmark.     Full Time Salaried Position: $40-70,000 with Medical Benefits

    Requirements: BA or equivalent, 5 or more years of relevant professional experience, some evening and weekend hours, ability to meet the physical demands of the position, working automobile for transport of objects (See full job posting document provided.)
