The Museum at Eldridge Street, based in New York City, is looking for a senior level candidate for the newly created position of Director of Visitor Services and Program Management. This is a full-time, permanent position.

The Museum at Eldridge Street's mission is to restore and sustain the National Historic Landmark 1887 Eldridge Street Synagogue as a cultural and educational center serving a broad public.  Our programs explore immigrant history and cultures, Jewish history and culture, and architectural preservation.  One of our programs is the very popular "Egg Rolls, Egg Creams and Empanadas Festival" which celebrates and showcases the Puerto Rican, Chinese and Eastern European populations of our iconic Lower East Side-Chinatown neighborhood.

The Director of Visitor Services and Program Management is responsible for our visitor-centered operations. It includes leadership on reopening plans and operations, supervision of "front of house" staff and operations, docent oversight, strategies for developing a diverse and broad-based audience, and development and implementation of institutional public-facing initiatives and programs.

To apply for the position, all candidates should direct their cover letter and resume to Bonnie Dimun, Executive Director, at bdimun@eldridgestreet.org.  The subject line of your email should read: JOB APPLICANT.  The position is posted until September 30, 2020.
