    Putnam History Museum

    Cold Spring, New York

    The Executive Director (“ED”) of the Putnam History Museum is responsible for all operations and functions of the organization, including, but not limited to, supervising staff and volunteers, community outreach, collections, exhibitions, programming, marketing and fund raising from individual donors and corporate sponsors, whether through personal action, delegation to and supervision of the staff or volunteers, or requested assistance from members of the Board of Trustees (“Board”).  The ED reports to the Chair of the Board of Trustees and is expected to reside in the Hudson Valley, New York, area.

    Full time salaried position: $55,000 - $65,000 commensurate with experience

    Requirements:

    Bachelor's degree in Museum Studies, History, humanities or related field (Master's degree preferred).

    Minimum of three years experience working in a non-profit setting, preferably a museum or historical society
