    The Connecticut League of History Organizations (CLHO), a statewide membership organization serving the museum and cultural heritage community, seeks an Executive Director to lead the organization, providing vision and direction in managing daily operations and implementing initiatives approved by the Board of Directors.  The Executive Director of CLHO, which partners with Connecticut Humanities on a number of issues and programs, will focus on outreach and advocacy to empower the network of those who promote and safeguard Connecticut’s cultural heritage.  The ED provides overall management for existing programs (professional development workshops, Annual Conference, Awards of Merit, Connecticut Collections and StEPS CT) and identifies new program opportunities. The Board seeks an engaging, creative leader; independent thinker; persistent, patient relationship builder with excellent interpersonal skills and the financial acumen to deal with the current nonprofit environment while planning for future issues and opportunities.    Visit http://clho.org/About-Us for more information.  

    Full time salaried position: $50,000-$58,000 commensurate with experience.

    Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in humanities or related field (Master’s degree a plus) and five years experience in a leadership or management position in a public history organization.  Valid Driver’s License
