CALLING ALL NYC INSTITUTIONS!
Thanks to support from the New York Community Trust and Agnes Gund, Watershed Collaborative is able to make our online professional development and curriculum in Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS) available for
FREE for any NYC-DOE educator during the 2018-2019 school year.
We need your help to spread the word about this free training to as many eligible teachers as possible - to bring the Blueprint for the Arts to life in classrooms all over the city!
For helping us reach your local network of teachers and schools, we are offering NYC cultural institutions free access to our state-of-the-art course for up to 10 of your educators and docents - good through June 30, 2019.
WHAT IS VTS?
Do you recognize these questions?
- What's going on in this picture?
- What do you see that makes you say that?
- What more can you find?
That is VTS. VTS has had an unparalleled impact on museum education and engagement over the last 25 years, and has been proven to positively impact communication and thinking skills in students across demographics and contexts.
We welcome you to review our course, VTS Basics with Philip Yenawine, and learn more about VTS.
Please share the attached project flier (or this link to it). Interested teachers and schools can check out the suggested course syllabus and register here.
Thank you so very much for your help!
Please email lynn.pyfer@watershed-ed.org if you would like to enroll your staff and docents in our course.
