MANY Board of Directors Consulting Program

We are pleased to announce that the dedicated museum professionals who serve on MANY's board of directors are now available to share their skills and expertise with MANY Organizational members.

Museums can select a MANY board member to work with them for one day (8 hours) either at their museum or remotely on a project. Requests will be made through MANY staff via the online form included below; board members will consider requests based on availability and matching skills.

MANY Members can expect:

Understanding and careful consideration of your museum’s project.

>  Current and informed views on museum management.

The advice of a professional whose expertise and relevant background will carry weight with board members, staff, funders, community members, and other stakeholders.

A valuable experience that significantly outweighs the cost.

Consultant Program Costs

All of the costs associated with the visit are the responsibility of the museum.

The Museum will pay MANY $750 for the day of consulting and for the round-trip travel expenses of the board member which may include coach class air or rail fare, rental car, mileage for private vehicles, parking, taxis, hotel accommodation, meals en-route and during the visit and other miscellaneous travel costs.

MANY staff will work with the board member and the museum to keep expenses affordable for the museum.

MANY Board Members are offering their expertise in Executive Administration, Communications, Facilities, Fundraising, Programming, Exhibitions, Interpretation, and Collections Care and Conservation in museums of all budget sizes and disciplines.
